Bonfire night at North Hayne Farm has become another special event in our diary. Every year all of the children start off by helping to make the Guy, including making sticks dynamite (pretend ones of course!) to attach to Guy Fawkes.
Later once it's dark, everyone gathers in the courtyard for the popular lantern procession up to the bonfire. The anticipation builds as the bonfire is lit and the children wait eagerly for the Guy to meet his ultimate demise.
As we have animals at the farm we only allow sparklers to be used, this has led to the adults becoming very competitive with their creative displays of sparkler writing in the air egged on by the appreciative gazes' of our younger guests.
With complementary mulled wine and food served in the games room, the evening is completed with satisfied children and grown ups alike.
