Child friendly animals at North Hayne Farm

We have a wide variety of very friendly animals for you to meet and help us feed and care for. They include two donkeys, Barney and Old Bear, who enjoy giving free donkey rides in the morning; our goats Casper, Roly and Zippy who love being taken for walks around the farm by our guests. Our sheep - Ruby, Rosie and Bambi plus new lambs each spring for you to help bottle feed. Two Alpacas Cocoa and Latte, many ducks, hens, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and last but not least Patrick our pot bellied pig.

Come down to the barns twice a day to help feed and care for the animals then collect freshly laid eggs from our hens who will provide plenty of entertainment for anyone brave enough to feed them worms. They lay fresh eggs for us every morning which our guests are welcome to come and help collect and are available to buy from the farm house.

For our morning helpers there is the added excitement of having a free donkey ride (kindly provided by Barney and Old Bear). For some of our older children or indeed willing parents Casper, Roly and Zippy are always keen to be taken for a walk.

Finally, don't forget to pop in and say hello to Patrick our pot bellied pig who really enjoys both his meal times and a back scratch!

Feeding time down at the barns is a hands-on experience for all the family to enjoy whatever your age.
